Preparing for winter at Gravel Creek

This weekend we returned to Gravel Creek to prepare the patch for winter. We were delighted to be joined by Southern Downs Regional Councillor Russell Wantling who talked to us about the project and our wider aims.

Our morning was spent pruning, putting down mulch and adding protective guards to small plants. Meanwhile, some of the group tidied up a storage shed, kindly loaned to us by the Killarney Historical Society. After a morning of hard work, we were treated to some delicious baking provided by the Historical Society and Bushcare members.
